Do I have to explain everything on the first call?

Are you licensed in Virginia?
Yes. Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Licensure follows the state you are physically in during the session, not where the therapist is, so Virginia sessions are held under Virginia law.
Is my message confidential?
Yes. Messages and voicemails are seen only by the practice, and nothing you write is shared with an insurer, an employer or anyone else. We are out-of-network, which is part of why privacy here is simpler than it is elsewhere.
